This minimalist backpack is a perfect allrounder, it will fit everything you need to survive the day. It's a great companion to take with you on your daily adventures, to work but also on casual strolls in the woods or on small hikes. It has a laptop compartment which will fit generally any small- to medium-sized laptop. It doesn't have any small seperate compartments but when you use it in combination with our IWATO Hip Pack you will have all your important stuff within hand-reach while looking awesome. Like all our IWATO products it is handmade from sustainable recycled fabric of old scouting tents. The tough tent material is very durable and treated with wax to make it water repellent.

Zoomed in on the materials
The fabric used in this product consists100% of repurposed cottonfrom old scouting tents. The tents are stripped by hand and the fabric is machine-washed, ironed and waxed. Repurposing material instead or recycling uses way less energy and is therefore a more sustainable option. The only downside is that the material has already degraded to a certain degree from its first use, as a tent in this case. But don’t worry, we make sure that the fabric is still in a state that ensures a long lifetime for our products.
The straps, webbing, are made fromeconlyl regenerated nylon, a type of recycled nylon (from fishing nets, scrap textile, ...) that is just as pure, strong and recyclable as virgin nylon. Read more about this material here. It's Oeko-Tex 100 certified, which means it's clear of any toxic materials and is safe for skin contact. Even though it's recycled, and designed for circular economy, it's still plastic, which we try to use as less as possible. But the strong and durable character of the material is something you don't come across in other (more sustainable, organic) materials.
The quick release buckle is strong and durable made from a hard plastic that wasn't specified by the manufacturer. It is probably made ofPOM or ABSwhich are not very high in the sustainability list. But since it's a hard plastic and a robust design it should guarantee a long lifetime for the product.
The Obvious brand label is woven withpolyesteryarn of which80 procentisrecycled. It's Oeko-Tex 100 certified, which means it's clear of any toxic materials and is safe for skin contact.
